Josie Gibson Leads ITV’s Big Country Build — A Heartfelt Series Where Real People Rebuild Their Lives One Wall at a Time
Out in the wild, far from city noise, stories rise from the rubble. With grit, grace, and a whole lot of heart, this build isn’t just about bricks — it’s about starting over where the sky feels endless

This Morning star Josie Gibson has unveiled an “ambitious” new series where she will be in search of a “harmonious dream”.
The presenter, who has also appeared on Big Brother and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, will front Big Country Build for ITV, with the reality series documenting the “renovation of a lifetime”.
As per the press release, Gibson will concoct an “ambitious plan” to transform her “dilapidated” Somerset property into a “modern” abode, with the series said to depict the “chaos” and “commotion” of the journey.
Gibson’s new home will be centred around her “passion” for the environment and sustainability, with the presenter striving to “protect” and “preserve” the “stunning” surrounding landscape by growing her own food and harnessing her own energy.
In addition to building an on-site gym and walk-in wardrobe, the star will also forge new friendships along the way, with the “extensive” project testing the presenter’s ability to adapt to her surroundings.

“My dream is to build a house as eco and luxurious as possible where you are immersed in the sanctuary of nature,” said the presenter. “I want to use the acres of land to try and do my best to have a little small holding.
“I want bees, birds [and] badgers to all live in harmony. Though, I’m becoming increasingly concerned that my harmonious dream is slowly turning into a construction nightmare… I can’t wait to bring the audience along on this journey with me!”
Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment & Daytime for ITV, teased that viewers would see a “completely new side” to Gibson as she “embraces country life” and takes “sustainable to a whole new level”.
“Josie’s energy is infectious and her enthusiasm unstoppable,” added Dom Bird, Senior Vice President of MGM Unscripted, who teased that there would be “chaos”, “charm” and a “few bumps in the road” as Gibson envisages her “dream home”.
