BBC Breakfast Host Ben Thompson Gets On-Air Telling-Off Mid-Segment — A Live Moment That Left Viewers Blinking and Rewinding

It started with a joke. Then came the look. And suddenly, the tone shifted. In a moment that wasn’t scripted — and couldn’t be ignored — Ben Thompson found himself on the receiving end of a live correction. And the cameras didn’t cut away

BBC Breakfast star Ben Thompson made an unexpected comment during Sunday’s live show

A BBC Breakfast host said “let’s move on” as her co-star got “told off” live on-air.

During Sunday’s (September 28) edition of the hit morning programme, hosts Sarah Campbell and Ben Thompson updated viewers with the latest news from across the UK and around the world.

They were joined in the studio by Adam Wild, who handled the sports segment, while Helen Willetts presented regular weather forecasts.

While discussing the day’s frontpages, Ben shared a survey that says you don’t need to eat vegetables to make sure your eyesight is good, with fish fingers and biscuits reportedly being good substitutes.

“I don’t know where they’ve worked out this science from… It says canned soup, as well, is also surprisingly good for some health conditions.

“I thought anything in a tin was probably not that great for you,” Ben added, with Sarah replying: “Careful”.

Ben confirmed: “I’m not a doctor, I should be really clear.”

Sarah then opened up about Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston, who has admitted that AI copies of her are so convincing that even her family and close friends believe the fake videos that they see.

“This is a bit more serious story. I mean, we always talk about AI. Very few days do we go by and not have an AI story,” Sarah explained.

“We’ve got the lovely Jennifer Aniston. She’s saying now that AI copies of her are so convincing that even her family and close friends contact her to say, ‘I can’t believe you’ve said that’. And she has to say, ‘It wasn’t me.'”

“Her face changes quite a bit though, doesn’t it? So, maybe they’re not really sure,” Ben then said, with Sarah replying: “That is true. She is a very attractive lady.”

Yes, yeah. But I mean, you’re right, AI is very convincing. I’m going to get told off now,” Ben joked, before Sarah said: “I think we’re going to have to move on.”

She continued: “Let’s move on to safer territory,” before handing over to Adam, who was ready to present the day’s sports segment.
