Thomas Rhett & Lauren Akins – A Sweet Love Story in “Chapter 10”

After six months of dating, Thomas proposed in December 2011, and the couple married on October 12, 2012, followed by a honeymoon in Hawaii.

After their wedding, they tried to start a family but struggled to have children. During one of Lauren’s mission trips to Uganda, she met a little girl who captured her heart. The couple decided to adopt her — and shortly after, they learned they were expecting a baby as well.

In February 2017, Willa Gray officially joined their family, and just six months later, Ava James was born.

In July 2019, they announced they were expecting again. Lennon Love was born on February 10, 2020, followed by Lillie Carolina, who arrived on November 15, 2021.

Then, in August 2025, Thomas and Lauren revealed that they were expecting their fifth child, choosing to wait until the baby’s birth to learn the gender.

In his new video for “Chapter 10,” Thomas Rhett offers fans a heartfelt, intimate look into his and Lauren’s journey together. The video brings their love story to life through years of never-before-seen home footage, filmed by Lauren’s father, Steve Gregory.

It begins with Thomas asking Steve for permission to marry Lauren and continues through different “chapters” of their life — from childhood and friendship to marriage and parenthood.
