When Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban announced their separation, a lot of people were shocked. The two seemed like a rock-solid couple for almost two decades. Then, rumors started swirling that the divorce was Urban’s idea and that though Kidman was willing to fight for the marriage, he was not.

That’s not all that’s come out since then. There have reportedly also been issues between Urban and his two daughters, who seemed to have taken their mother’s side. And recently, reports indicate the singer might be having second thoughts about the divorce.

It all comes after Urban attended the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas last month, with multiple of his tattoos on display. And one in particular caught people’s attention. On each finger of his left hand, you can read letters that spell out the word “Mary”, Kidman’s middle name. Her initials, “NMK”, are also tattooed on Urban’s inner right wrist. Then there’s the word “Babygirl”, a nod to her 2024 movie, tattooed across his neck.

“There’s rolling up your sleeves for work and there’s rolling up your sleeves to make sure your ex knows you haven’t removed her tattoos,” a source told Woman’s Day.

“After years of being discreet about his tattoos, it’s revealing that since his divorce, Keith has put them on full display. There have even been rumours that he’s recently touched up the tattoos that were dedicated to Nicole.”

It could all point to a desire for reconciliation. “It certainly confirms what a growing number of friends say, in that he has big regrets over this divorce and he’d take her back in a moment if she would have him.”

However, Kidman is reportedly not interested, with sources saying she “is very aware” of his signals and “she’s not going to go back to him”.

“It’s probably why she seems to be avoiding him,” adds the source. “But it’s not making this situation with his girls any better. And it’s not like Keith is going to disappear quietly.”

However, for the sake of their daughters, sources say it’s likely the two will sit down soon. “She’s got the message loud and clear with his tattoos and big reunion dreams, and she needs to clear the air soon,” the source said. “She’s worried about how this is affecting Sunday and Faith, and the attention they’re both getting now they’re almost adults, Nicole’s beginning to see the value of having their father around.”

“She has no interest in getting back with Keith, but she wants him as a functioning dad to their girls. She’s thinking about a friendly sit-down with him to go through her concerns.”

This comes after a June 2 report from Woman’s Day claimed the couple’s daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, are fighting over the divorce. Faith was reportedly “furious” with Sunday for unfollowing (and later refollowing) Urban on Instagram.

“Faith was always a bit of a daddy’s girl and she’s missing him being in her world 24/7,” the source explained. “She doesn’t like all this conflict and feeling like she has to take sides. She was furious that Sunday would take such a public step.”

“Poor Faith is confused by how two people can go from being loving and supportive for years to where things are now,” they said. “She knows her mum needs her right now, but she’s also worried about her dad, who doesn’t have the same support network around him Nicole does,” the source added.
