‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Called Ryan Seacrest’s ‘Stunt Double’ Reveals a Surprising Vanna White ‘Secret’

A Wheel of Fortune contestant who arrived on set being compared to Ryan Seacrest ended up giving fans another talking point after the show — a playful suggestion that Vanna White might need a stunt double of her own.

Anthony Bivona, from Rocky Point, New York, did not win the October 28 episode, finishing with $13,500. But his resemblance to the host, which his friends regularly joke about, made him one of the night’s memorable personalities.

During the episode, Bivona explained that people often tell him he could pass for Seacrest’s stunt double. White agreed that she could see the similarity, although Seacrest himself was less convinced.

The host took the comparison in good humour, saying he felt flattered but pointing out that Bivona filled out his shirt better and appeared more muscular. Bivona also noted that he was slightly older than Seacrest.

The story continued in a post-show interview with Social Correspondent Maggie Sajak. When she asked whether Bivona was known for anything else besides the resemblance, he opened his jacket to reveal a shirt bearing the words “Ryan’s stunt double.”

“I’ve often been told I could be Ryan’s stunt double,” he explained, prompting Sajak to laugh. She agreed that the resemblance was “uncanny.”

Sajak, dressed as the show’s one-million-dollar wedge, joked that viewers might have been confused by the sight, wondering why Seacrest appeared to be playing the game himself.

The Stunt Seacrest Never Got Around To Performing

Sajak then asked what kind of stunt Bivona could perform on the host’s behalf. His answer was the worm, a dance move he said he could pull off.

According to Bivona, Seacrest had previously claimed he could do the move himself but never followed through. However, the host did eventually bring his lookalike onto the set in February and had him perform the worm. The two later danced off the stage together.

Bivona Jokes That Vanna White Needs a Double Too

The conversation took another playful turn when Sajak asked Bivona what advice he would give to anyone hoping to audition for Wheel of Fortune.

“Do it. Show up. Do it. Have fun with it, and maybe have a little gimmick?” he advised.

He then joked about a supposed new casting priority, saying: “I hear now they’re looking for someone who looks like Vanna.”

“Ohhh!” Sajak responded, adding that White needed a stunt double too.

“Yes, she needs one too,” Bivona agreed.

Fans Debate the Lookalike Comparison

The exchange sparked plenty of reactions from viewers, with some agreeing that Bivona bears a striking resemblance to Seacrest.

“He definitely looks like Ryan,” one fan commented.

Another viewer said they could spot similarities in both his appearance and mannerisms, particularly some of his hand movements. Not everyone was convinced, however, with one fan insisting that Bivona did not look like the host at all.

Others turned their attention to the idea of finding a double for White. Some suggested that Sajak herself could take on the role, while another viewer nominated Dancing With the Stars professional Emma Slater as a potential lookalike.
