The story gained more traction after The Bon Jovi Talk Podcast picked it up. The hosts pointed to recent comments hinting at major lineup changes.

“Wait… Has Tico retired? Apparently David said in the latest podcast with Jon that he and Jon started when they were 16 and now they’re the only two remaining in the band. If Tico is done, that’s the band done. Tico is the heart and soul of the band,” the podcast’s social media account posted.

If true, Torres’s departure would mark a major moment in Bon Jovi’s history. As a founding member since 1983, he has been a driving force in the band’s sound for more than four decades. Torres joined Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan, and Alec John Such to form the lineup that produced legendary albums like Slippery When Wet and New Jersey.
