Mike Tyson apologizes for the death of famous rapper Tupac
Mike Tyson and Tupac Shakur were good friends before the famous rapper was shot dead on September 7, 1996, just hours after Tyson’s fight with Bruce Seldon in Las Vegas.
Mike Tyson has admitted he feels guilty for the death of Tupac Shakur after forcing the rapper to watch him fight in Las Vegas. The youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history revealed how he urged Tupac to come to the MGM Grand Arena on September 7, 1996, to watch his fight with Bruce Seldon.
In this match, Mike “Iron” easily defeated his opponent in the first round. However, just a few hours after Tyson won, his close friend was also shot down in a shooting while attending a show at Club 662.

The American music icon was shot dead while riding in a black BMW with rap mogul Suge Knight. 24 years after the tragic shooting, Tyson revealed that he had also met Tupac at Club 662 that day but ended up staying home to take care of his newborn child.
In an interview with VladTV, former world champion boxer Zab Judah asked Mike “Iron” how he felt about Tupac’s murder. Tyson replied: “It was a really bad day. I felt guilty because I was the one who urged him to come to Las Vegas to watch me fight. That night, I had an appointment with him to go to Club 662. But because my wife had just given birth, I stayed home.”

“Someone called me that night and told me what happened. It was like something that happened in my world , it was part of my world. But I didn’t expect it to happen to Tupac, who was close to me. I’ve seen people get hurt, shot, and even crazier things, but when it happened to him, I felt really guilty,” Mike Tyson added.
