Kelly Clarkson has found her inner Latina!

In a first-look shared with PEOPLE from Songs & Stories with Kelly Clarkson, the host teams up with Gloria Estefan for a stunning performance of “Mi Tierra.”

“I love all of your songs but this is my favorite. This is the one I’m most excited to do today. I hope I don’t screw up the Spanish,” Clarkson, 43, tells Estefan, 67, who noted it’s “Cyndi Lauper’s favorite too.”

“The sound of it is so different, it’s so unique, it’s so cool,” Clarkson adds.

Estefan went on to explain that she was “very thrilled” with the way the 1993 song turned out and “we had all the greats of Cuban music that were in the United States to play on the album.”

“That’s why it’s so legit,” the Cuban singer adds.

The singers went on to sing a portion of the Spanish song together and both jumped out of their chairs to share an embrace afterwards.

“It wasn’t perfect but I love that song much,” Clarkson says, as Estefan responds, “You are hard on yourself!”

“You can be Cuban!” Estefan adds.

The full episode, where the duo dives into the cultural impact and significance of Estefan’s songs, will air on Aug. 26 10/9c on NBC and streaming next day on Peacock.

Before the episode with Estefan, Clarkson sat down with Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas to discuss the stories behind some of their biggest hits.

During their appearance, the band revealed they plan to sing 2008’s “When You Look Me in the Eyes” “forever.”

“It’s a song we wrote with our dad and we wrote it many years ago,” he explained. “I remember recording it in the basement in an office building in New Jersey and we had to be really quiet when we walked through the hallways.”

After all these years, Joe said the song still holds a special significance for the band.

“It was really special to be able to create this song with our dad and years later still play it and all these fans come to our shows and sing it,” Joe continued. “Honestly it’s one of the earlier songs we can think of that kind of reflects, I guess, young love, finding out who we are as people, traveling the world and this one we’ll play forever.”

“It’s one of our favorites,” he concluded.
