Over a decade ago, the rock icon took the Saturday Night Live stage — not to sing, but to deliver comedy. In a now-iconic sketch, Jagger held his ground beside SNL regulars, firing off punchlines with sharp comedic timing and a surprising gift for making fun of himself. The sketch sees Jagger playing an insurance broker called Kevin, who has just attended an insurance conference along with some of his colleagues (one of whom is played by comedian and actor Kristen Wiig) and is now on a night out. In a hilarious twist, the sketch finds Jagger (or ‘Kevin’) and his colleagues in a karaoke club where they are encouraged to get up and perform impressions of… that’s right, you’ve guessed it, Jagger himself!
And just when you think the sketch can’t get any funnier, ‘Kevin’ then starts to criticize the Jagger impressions, to the point that his colleagues get fed up with hearing his complaints and leave him alone in the club. Kevin then starts to talk to the audience, lamenting that he is always left on his own and that every time he meets new people he manages to ruin it. Soon he drowns his sorrows in a certain song – none other than a slowed down version of the Rolling Stones’ ‘Satisfaction’!
