The beloved Geordie duo – hosting the 25th series of the ITV juggernaut from the Australian jungle – have found themselves in the firing line after campmates breezed through the trivia challenges time and time again, winning treats like chocolate, sweets and even letters from home with barely a wrong answer.

In one recent episode, a team aced a milk-themed task and the camp correctly answered Kiosk Kev’s trivia to bag milk bottle sweets – sparking immediate outrage. “Another easy question, another treat. This is not the I’m A Celeb I know!” one viewer ranted.

The fury comes hot on the heels of complaints that this year’s Bushtucker Trials are also “too easy”, with campmates smashing records and winning almost every star. Insiders whisper that bosses may have dialled down the difficulty amid fears of backlash over mental health and animal welfare – but fans aren’t buying it, insisting it’s all to keep ratings high by avoiding hungry, grumpy celebs.

One disgruntled watcher summed up the mood: “The trials are easier, the questions are easier – what’s the point? We want suffering and suspense, not constant wins!”
