She’s the bubbly Gogglebox star turned jungle royalty who had the nation cheering when she was crowned Queen of the Jungle back in 2016 – beating the likes of Joel Dommett and Adam Thomas in one of the most feel-good finals ever.

But now, Scarlett Moffatt has sent fans into a frenzy by dropping a huge hint that she’s returning to the I’m A Celebrity franchise – this time for the hotly-anticipated All Stars spin-off in South Africa!

The 35-year-old Geordie beauty was grilled live on Good Morning Britain yesterday by hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid, who wasted no time probing her about rumours she’s signed up for the gruelling pre-recorded series, which was filmed last September and is set to air later this year.

With a cheeky grin and a telling pause, Scarlett coyly replied: ‘Well… you’ll have to wait and see!’ – before quickly adding, ‘But I do love a challenge!’

Viewers at home immediately clocked the ‘slip-up’, with social media exploding in excitement. One fan tweeted: ‘Scarlett Moffatt basically just confirmed she’s doing I’m A Celeb South Africa on GMB! That smile said it all! Queen is back!’

Another gushed: ‘Scarlett on GMB dodging the South Africa question but we ALL know she’s in! Cannot wait to see her smash those trials again!’

A third declared: ‘From winning the jungle to All Stars legend – Scarlett Moffatt returning to I’m A Celeb South Africa would be ICONIC!’

The hint comes just days after ITV dropped a thrilling first-look promo for the second series of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, teasing ‘bigger, harder and more extreme’ trials than ever before, with Ant and Dec promising it’s ‘where legends are made’.

Insiders tell the Daily Mail that Scarlett is indeed part of the star-studded lineup, alongside other returning favourites like football legend Harry Redknapp, TOWIE diva Gemma Collins, comedian Seann Walsh, boxer David Haye, and Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas.

‘Scarlett was a no-brainer for producers,’ our source dished. ‘She’s one of the most beloved winners ever – funny, down-to-earth, and brilliant in trials. Fans have been begging for her return since the All Stars format was announced.’

The Geordie lass shot to fame on Channel 4’s Gogglebox in 2014, charming viewers with her hilarious commentary alongside her parents from their County Durham sofa.

But it was her 2016 stint on I’m A Celebrity that truly made her a national treasure. Entering the jungle as a relative unknown outside Gogglebox circles, Scarlett quickly won hearts with her infectious laugh, zero airs and graces, and fearless attitude in Bushtucker Trials.

Who could forget her epic performance in the Celebrity Cyclone, or the moment she devoured witchetty grubs like they were sweets? Or her emotional campfire chats about body confidence and self-love?

She sailed to victory with a massive public vote, beating runner-up Joel Dommett and third-placed Adam Thomas. Post-jungle, Scarlett’s career skyrocketed – landing presenting gigs on Extra Camp, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, and even her own shows like Streetmate reboot and The British Tribe Next Door.

But life hasn’t been all smooth. Scarlett has been refreshingly open about her struggles with fame, including cruel trolling over her weight fluctuations. She’s since undergone an incredible transformation, shedding stones and radiating confidence.

In recent years, she’s embraced motherhood, welcoming baby son Jude with policeman boyfriend Scott Dobinson in 2023. The couple got engaged last year, with Scarlett showing off her sparkling ring on Instagram.

‘Becoming a mum has changed everything,’ she told GMB yesterday. ‘But I’m ready for some me-time adventures!’

That’s where South Africa comes in. The All Stars spin-off – first launched in 2023 with Myleene Klass emerging victorious – swaps the Australian Outback for the stunning South African bush, with no public voting until a live London finale.

Trials are rumoured to be tougher, with higher stakes and no luxury items from day one. Filming wrapped in September 2025, meaning the celebs have been keeping schtum for months.

Other confirmed rumoured names include Olympic hero Sir Mo Farah and former campmates ready for redemption.

Scarlett’s GMB appearance wasn’t just about jungle hints – she was there promoting her new podcast and chatting family life. But Richard Madeley couldn’t resist: ‘There’s talk you’re going back into the jungle for the South Africa version… true?’

Scarlett’s flustered laugh and evasive answer only fuelled the fire. Susanna chimed in: ‘That wasn’t a no!’

Fans are already predicting chaos if Scarlett teams up with old pal Adam Thomas again – the pair formed a close bond in 2016.

‘Scarlett and Adam reunion in South Africa? Take my money!’ one excited viewer posted.

The first series in 2023 was a ratings smash, pulling in millions as legends like Shaun Ryder, Gillian McKeith and Carol Vorderman battled it out.

This time, with a live public vote for the winner and ‘epic’ new challenges – think sky-high bungee jumps and snake-infested ladders – expectations are sky-high.

Ant and Dec, who produce via their Mitre TV company, teased: ‘It’s a lot harder… quite a lot harder!’

Scarlett herself has spoken fondly of her jungle experience. ‘It was the best thing I’ve ever done,’ she’s said. ‘I’d go back in a heartbeat.’

Well, it looks like she is! With her quick wit and trial prowess, bookies have already slashed odds on her winning All Stars.

Single mum Scarlett – who shares adorable snaps of Jude but keeps him largely private – is said to be ‘buzzing’ about the trip.

‘She missed the camaraderie and adrenaline,’ our insider adds. ‘Plus, after baby, she wanted to prove she’s still got it.’

Boyfriend Scott is fully supportive, reportedly joking he’ll be ‘camp widower’ back home.

As one fan summed it up: ‘Scarlett Moffatt back in the jungle? 2016 vibes returning – this is going to be legendary!’

We can’t wait to see our Queen reclaim her crown. Get ready for more screams, stars and Scarlett magic – South Africa is about to get a whole lot Geordier!
