While in Jordan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will meet with humanitarian partners including World Central Kitchen and Questscope and visit initiatives supporting children and families affected by conflict
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are traveling to Jordan for a humanitarian visit focused on global health and mental health support.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, the Duke and Duchess of Sussexâs office announced that the couple will visit Jordan on Wednesday, Feb. 25, and Thursday, Feb. 26.
PEOPLE understands that the royal family has been informed of the trip, which comes almost one week after the arrest of Harryâs uncle, ex-Prince Andrew, and is being undertaken as a humanitarian visit in partnership with the World Health Organization, not on behalf of the U.K. government.
Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, will join Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, for two days of engagements focused on humanitarian health response, mental health and support for vulnerable communities affected by conflict and displacement.
The visit will be centered in Amman and will include site visits to WHO partner organizations as well as frontline health and mental health services. The trip expands on the Sussexesâ existing partnership with the WHO and reunites Prince Harry with Dr. Tedros following a joint engagement in London last September. Their collaboration with the WHO dates back to efforts around global vaccine equity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Jordan visit marks Harry and Meghanâs first international trip in almost 18 months. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex last undertook similar visits to Nigeria in May 2024 and Colombia in August 2024, following their step back from royal duties in the U.K. in 2020.

A source says the coupleâs work remains focused on vulnerable populations, mental health and the long-term consequences of conflict on civilians, especially children. Through their philanthropic organization, Archewell Philanthropies, the Sussexes have supported relief efforts for children and families affected by the Oct. 7 attack in Israel, as well as humanitarian assistance for families and children in Gaza.
âThe couple are pro-family and pro-children, and their philanthropic work reflects this value and deep-rooted care for humanity,â the source says.
The World Health Organization, a United Nations agency, is leading the visit. While in Jordan, Harry and Meghan will support efforts to highlight Jordanian leadership in regional humanitarian health response and visit initiatives they have financially backed to help facilitate medical evacuations for children affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also visit World Central Kitchenâs regional headquarters, where the nonprofit coordinates and deploys food and humanitarian aid into Gaza. World Central Kitchen was founded by chef JosĂ© AndrĂ©s and was the first philanthropic partner of the coupleâs charitable organization, Archewell Philanthropies, which was renamed from the Archewell Foundation in December 2025.

The couple will additionally stop at Zaâatari Refugee Camp â home to displaced Syrians â to visit Questscope, highlighting the role of mental health services, physical rehabilitation and community-based support for people affected by war, displacement, and serious illness.
The couple will step out in Jordan almost a week after the historic arrest of Prince Harryâs uncle, the former Prince Andrew.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on Feb. 19 as authorities investigate a claim that he shared confidential information with the late Jeffrey Epsteiâân while serving as a trade envoy for the U.K. in the 2000s.

Andrewâs ties to Epstein set his step back from public life in motion in 2019 and he has denied any wrongdoing regarding their relationship. King Charlesâ brother was released after spending about 11 hours in custody last Thursday, his 66th birthday.
Jordan has also featured in recent royal engagements. In October 2025, Prince William and Kate Middleton hosted Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa during a visit to the U.K., marking the occasion with a photograph taken in Windsor.
William and Kate have also traveled to Jordan previously, attending Crown Prince Husseinâs royal wedding in June 2023. The country holds personal significance for the Princess of Wales, who briefly lived there as a child.
