Amber and pro dancer Alex Vladimirov made history as the first all-female dance couple on the RTE hit show.

And the pair said they were delighted to make it so far and represent the LGBT community.

Amber told The Irish Sun: “That was part of the reason why I agreed to do the show. I was also putting myself out there, doing something I hadn’t done before.

“But to do it as part of all female partnership clinched it for me.

“It wasn’t the norm for me to see (two women dancing) on the TV together, growing up.

“It’s great to have been able to bring that to the screen and make it the norm.

“I’ve had a great journey, it’s disappointing. What an experience!”

Wilson also ruled out any suggestion that her participation was a “dry run” for sister Vogue Williams to enter DWTS next season.

Amber said: “Oh I don’t know about that, I couldn’t speak on her (Vogue’s) behalf.”

The PR opened the show with an American Smooth to Chappell Roan hit The Giver with chief judge Oti Mabuse praising how far she had come on the show “in terms of confidence”.

But tonight’s dance landed her a just 19 points — the lowest combined score from judges and public votes — and wasn’t enough to keep her on the show.

Next up was Ireland AM host Eric Roberts, who got 31 points for a Viennese Waltz to Chris Stapleton’s version of the 80s ballad Tennessee Whiskey with pro dancer Arianna Favaro.

Judge Brian Redmond said: “That was Pure Viennese waltz, apart from few watery moments the rest was hard liquor.”

And Karen Byrne said: “That was a gorgeous dance.”

Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh looked like she was enjoying her Cha-cha-cha to the Shania Twain hit That Don’t Impress Me Much with her partner Stephen Vincent, but landed only 16 points.

Brian said: “I’ve seen more action in a wooden rocking horse. That was the worst one-legged Cha cha ever.”

Arthur Gourounlian said: “I love watching you but you need to surprise us next week.”

UK Apprentice star Jordan Dargan picked up 34 points for a Paso Doble to Jelly Roll’s Dead End Road with his pro Rebecca Scott.

Oti said: “You had outstanding grit, and conviction.”

Brian said: “You’re so good, you’re the dangerman to everyone else in this competition.”

WHACKY OUTFIT

Traitors Ireland star Paudie Moloney got “tartaned up” for a quick step to Stop the World (And Let Me Off) with his partner Laura Nolan and were awarded 23 points.

Oti said: “You are the ballroom maestro. You didn’t make a single mistake.”

Brian said: “Dumpsy steps and hunchy posture I said in week one but that was much improved.”

N17 singer Tolu Makay received 33 points for the first Rumba of the season, with the judges praising her legwork during her dance to Faith Hill’s power ballad There You’ll Be with pro Maciej Zieba.

Oti said: “My God was that sexy.”

Arthur said: “You nailed it, like a panther.”

‘SWEET’ MOVES

Nationwide presenter Anne Cassin was another celeb doing a Quickstep, which landed her 24 points, after a routine around a fruit stall to Val Doonican’s Ann with pro Robert Rowinski.

Brian said: “You got the biggest cheer of the night for catching an orange. A sweet quick step.”

Olympic rower Philip Doyle earned 33 points dancing an American Smooth to Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell with his pro partner Daniela Roze.

Arthur said: “You are the king of the lifts.”

Karen said: “Smooth as butter. No rower should be as good as you.”

JUGDES IMPRESSED

Fair City star Stephanie Kelly danced a Charleston to Yihaa by Dolly Style with her pro partner Ervinas Merfeldas.

Brian said: “The challenge was to blend country week with a Charleston and you did that brilliantly.”

They received 27 points.

And Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins was awarded 30 points for a Quickstep to Hit the Diff by Marty Mone, dancing with partner Leonardo Lini.

Oti said: “I loved it. You delivered a high quality dance.”
