Lauren, a familiar face on Strictly Come Dancing, made it clear her message was not a cry for attention. Instead, it was a warning about how damaging a single careless comment can be.

“Not posting for replies or attention,” she wrote. “We just don’t talk about it enough so that we ‘don’t give them what they want’ — but one comment online can really ruin your whole day. You have no idea where someone is emotionally and mentally. Please please think before you type.”

The post was locked — replies disabled — yet it quickly racked up hundreds of likes, quietly resonating with fans who understood exactly what she meant.

A breaking point in the early hours

At 34, Lauren has built a loyal following across Instagram, TikTok and X, boasting around 245,000 followers. But with popularity comes pressure — and, increasingly, cruelty.
