On June 10, 2005, the Grand Ole Opry welcomed a shy blonde from Oklahoma, fresh off her win on Season 4 of American Idol. Nervous yet determined, Carrie Underwood took the legendary stage and performed “Inside Your Heaven” alongside Roy Orbison’s “Crying.” After just a few notes, the entire room erupted.
