In a candid video posted on Facebook on July 27, Bunnie opened up about the frightening moments that led to an MRI and a consultation with a neurologist, detailing the ups and downs of her health journey.

While fans of Bunnie Xo may know her for her supportive role in Jelly Roll’s life and career, what they didn’t know was the private battle she was fighting behind the scenes. It all began in March, when Bunnie started experiencing “really weird headaches.” Concerned, she decided to visit her doctor, which eventually led to an MRI earlier this month.

“When I got the test results back, they said that they spotted an aneurysm on my carotid artery,” Bunnie explained. According to the Cleveland Clinic, the carotid arteries are major blood vessels in the neck that supply blood to the brain.

Her world was rocked when she heard the news: “And I needed to go in for a CT scan with contrast to rule it out,” Bunnie continued. For her, the thought of an aneurysm was deeply personal and terrifying. “Anybody that knows me knows that having an aneurysm is one of my biggest fears because my mom had one, and it actually ruptured, but she lived.”

A Roller Coaster of Emotions

After undergoing the CT scan, Bunnie learned that she had a “two-millimeter aneurysm” on her carotid artery. “So the past four days, it literally felt like I kind of had a death sentence,” she confessed. “You have to kind of come to grips with your own mortality, and that’s never a fun experience to go through, ever.”

But the story took a turn for the better when Bunnie went for a second opinion from a neurosurgeon. The surgeon revealed encouraging news: “He told me that he does not think that it is an aneurysm,” Bunnie shared. “He also thinks that in six months, whenever I come back to retest and do another CT scan, that he will be able to prove that it is an artifact. His words were, ‘I don’t even know why the radiologist sent you in for this.'”

Praise for the Good News: A Health Scare Turns into Hope

With a sigh of relief, Bunnie added, “Praise Jesus that I got that cleared.” While she plans to get a second opinion on Tuesday, the positive update has lifted a heavy burden from her shoulders.
