P Diddy was rumored to be involved in Tupac Shakur’s drive-by shooting in 1996 after the latter released a diss track against the hip-hop mogul. Both Diddy and the Las Vegas police department have reiterated his non-involvement in the case. However, the transcript of an interview between Detective Long and the suspect in the case, Duane “Keefe D” Davis, mentions that Diddy wanted revenge.
Davis is the uncle of Orlando Anderson, a member of the Southern Side Crips, who was the primary suspect in the case. He was never charged and was killed later in an unrelated gang shootout in 1998. Davis was arrested in September 2023 after being indicted by a grand jury for the first-degree murder of Shakur.

The suspect in Tupac Shakur‘s case revealed Diddy’s involvement during a police interview. Duane “Keefe D” Davis is on trial for Shakur’s murder, and he requested that the case against him be dropped in January 2025. In response, the prosecution filed a 180-page document, including a police interview transcript where he confessed to his involvement.

The transcript was that of a “surreptitiously recorded” interview between Detective Long of the Las Vegas Police Department and Davis (via The Sun). It was revealed during the interview that Diddy was furious about Shakur’s diss track and wanted revenge against him.
Davis claimed that Diddy offered to “give anything” for the “heads” of Shakur and Suge Knight, adding that 45 people witnessed Diddy’s rage-filled comments. Davis, who currently pleads not guilty, boasted during the interview that he was the boss of the other three Southside Crips during the murder. He shared that Diddy allegedly played a role in the murder.
Diddy was a major discussion point throughout the interview, with his name being mentioned 47 times. Diddy allegedly told Davis that the price for Shakur and Knight was “motherf**king millions”. When asked if Diddy had any issues with Shakur, Davis replied, “About that, ah, yeah, that record came out, told him he’s a f**ker and all that sh*t.”
He further claimed in the interview that he was delighted when his nephew, Orlando Anderson, fired at Shakur and Knight. He recalled, “We was like ‘Damn, we can get paid now.’” He clarified during the interview that Diddy was the one who would pay them. He further shared that Eric Zip Martin, a mutual acquaintance who supplied them with the murder weapon, made the payment.
Diddy denied the claims against him related to Shakur’s murder, calling them “completely ridiculous” and “pure fiction”. Las Vegas police also previously stated that Combs is not a suspect in their case. Moreover, Davis’ lawyer Carl Arnold claimed in court that his client lied about his and Diddy’s involvement for fame and money.
Diddy’s victim was allegedly attacked for suggesting his involvement in Tupac Shakur’s murder
In a lawsuit filed in California in October 2024, Ashley Parham claimed that she was r*ped as “payback” for commenting about Diddy’s involvement in Tupac Shakur’s murder. The victim claimed that he threatened to slash her face with a knife. According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Parham once met a friend of Diddy’s at a bar in 2018.
When the friend called Diddy to introduce her to him, Parham reportedly spoke out against him, as she believed he “had something to do with the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur”. Parham claimed in the lawsuit that she was threatened by Diddy, who told her that she would “pay” for her comments.

The singer’s friend allegedly met her once again at the bar a month later and invited her to his home in Orinda, California. Parham shared that Diddy showed up at this place and threatened to carve a Glasgow smile on her face, even holding a knife to the side of her face. She was then s*xually assaulted by Diddy, in the presence of his Chief of Staff, Kristina Khorram.
Parham stated in the lawsuit that when she regained consciousness, she grabbed a knife and confronted Diddy, who was out in the backyard with his friends smoking weed. She claimed that Diddy offered her money and told her to maintain that everything that happened was consensual.
Diddy allegedly told her that he had gotten away with bigger crimes, referring to Tupac Shakur once again. At this point, Parham claimed that the comment about 2Pac caused a scene between Diddy and one of the men, and a shot was fired.
She claimed in her lawsuit that a sheriff from Contra Costa County responded but never investigated her claims. She also stated that she had reported the crime to Walnut Creek Police and the Orinda Police Department, but neither allegedly opened an investigation.
