What is Blood Sacrifice about?

The series follows detective Thomas, who is forced to team up with his estranged father Alfred, a former detective, after two police officers are found brutally murdered. The pair must put decades of resentment aside to hunt down a brutal killer before time runs out.

Two men, one with short hair and the other with gray hair, sit at a table in a restaurant, facing each other.

The official synopsis reads: “It is summertime in Stockholm, when the darkness never really creeps in. A 911 call is received, speaking of a home invasion. Two police officers are sent to the address, a summer house in the archipelago. Only to find there is no one there, at least not that they can see. The next day the bodies of the officers are found, a brutal crime.

“This is the start of a series of terrifying murders, all seemingly targeting police officers. The lead detective needs to ask his father, a retired detective, for help in cracking the case.”

Who stars in Blood Sacrifice?

Jakob Oftebro (Agent Hamilton) stars as Thomas, alongside Peter Andersson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as Alfred.

In a statement, Jakob described the series as an “intense, emotional journey”. “Thomas is a man who has dedicated his life to the police, but when the attacks start targeting his own world, he’s forced to confront not only a brutal killer, but also the complicated relationship with his father,” continued the actor. “Playing him was both challenging and incredibly rewarding – it’s a story about justice, loyalty and what happens when the past refuses to stay buried.”
